Why Landed Prices Are Important

Every price at Canada Light Shop is a landed price, meaning it already accounts for everything it takes to bring a product into Canada: shipping, customs clearance, duties and taxes are built in. What you see at checkout is what you pay.

Prices on U.S. websites can look lower at first glance, but they rarely tell the whole story. Here is what usually gets added later:

  • GST, PST or HST is charged at import and must be paid to the carrier before delivery

  • Prices are in U.S. dollars, so exchange rates and card conversion fees raise the final cost
  • Returns go back across the border at your expense, and replacements can be charged duty again

The guarantee covers the Canadian landed price of the identical product, from the same manufacturer, sold by an authorized dealer of that product. To make a claim, send Canada Light Shop a link to the competitor's listing or a copy of their advertised price for the same product shipped to the same address.

When comparing prices, we include sales tax, shipping and handling, duties and import fees to work out the competitor's final Canadian price. Clearance items are excluded, and other restrictions may apply.
